Gingivitis
What is Gingivitis?
Gingivitis is a bacterial buildup on the gums that can lead to gum disease if not treated. This develops when bacteria and plaque attack the gum line around the base of your teeth, irritating and infecting the gums.
What Causes Gingivitis?
Gingivitis is cause by neglecting to properly care for your teeth with daily brushing and flossing. This causes your gums to become sensitive and perhaps bleed when brushing. It is the root cause of gum disease, which makes it even more vital to stop before it causes more problems.
